I havent written a blog post in 2 weeks, sorry guys but its been a pretty busy 2 weeks! So for my first blog post back I thought I’d share my Copenhagen holiday with you!
Most of you will know that it was mine and my partners 3 year anniversary on December 7th and his anniversary present to me was a 5 night holiday in Copenhagen, Denmark! It was absolutely amazing! Everything was so different and so beautiful, I really didnt want to leave…
We arrived in Copenhagen about 10am and managed to get the train and get off at the right stop perfectly fine. Our hotel check in wasnt until 3pm so we had alot of time to waste! Luckily our hotel stored our suitcases for us while we went to have a look around. We stayed in the Richmond Hotel and it was perfect for our stay. The room was basic but it had everything we needed! The hotel was literally in the middle of everything so walking everywhere was easy!
Monday was spent in Tivoli which is absolutely beautiful! Tivoli is the second oldest amusement park in the world, theres plenty of rides and lots to see. The majority of Tivoli is shops/food huts, theres a good choice in fairground games and a few staggered arcades! At night Tivoli was lit up with so many christmas lights, it was stunning!
Tuesday was spent looking round. We walked all the way around Stroget which is a HUGE shopping area, its like a highstreet but on like 10 different roads! We looked through the christmas markets and climbed the Round Tower!
Wednesday we purchased a Hop On Hop Off Bus + Boat tour which lasted until Friday! We managed to see pretty much the whole of Copenhagen! I got to see the original Little Mermaid statue, for those who dont know… The Little Mermaid was wrote by Hans Christian Andersen in 1836, he’s a pretty famous fairytale author who wrote The Ugly Duckling, Thumbelina and The Emperors New Clothes… We also went round Copenhagens canals and Nyhavn harbour!
Thursday we continued the bus tour and went to Fisketoveret Shopping Centre and then back to Stroget for some more shopping. We ended up back im Tivoli for a few shopping bits too!
Friday was check out day… On our last day we used a shuttle bus to do the Carlsberg tour which was alright if your into beer and its history! We went back into Stroget and had a looked round the Ripleys Believe It or Not museum and the Guiness World Records museum! Both quite interesting! Then it was time to catch the train back to the airport and fly home!
All in all, Copenhagen is definitely somewhere to visit! Its beautiful and there’s so much to see and do, we wanted to go to the Zoo as well but we just didnt have the time. For the last week, Ive had terrible holiday blues and just wanted to go back to Copenhagen hence why this post is so late!
I shall try and be more regular on the blog posts since Im home now, but with Christmas in 4 days, Im pretty busy!
Basically Innocent xo
